Listening and Leading: Using Surveys to Guide Impactful Learning in Schools - October 4, 2022

NEASC Forum webinar

School leaders are often faced with the challenges of packed schedules and competing priorities. This reality can make it difficult to find time to take a step back and listen to the perspectives of the students, families and colleagues we serve. Surveys can be a valuable tool to gather these perspectives thoughtfully and systematically, providing evidence to guide impactful learning in our school communities. With a few key practices and smart design, effective surveys can be very useful without being overly time-consuming or painful.

In this session, we'll talk about the most important things leaders can do to cultivate a culture of evidence-informed decision making in their schools. This includes identifying research priorities and how to spot good (and bad) survey design. We'll also provide strategies to engage with survey data along with other forms of evidence, to facilitate discussions with teams, and to create and follow through with action plans. We hope you will come away from this webinar energized and with new insights into the process of listening, leading, and learning with surveys.
