Join us in a warm farewell to Jay Stroud!

Retirement announced for summer 2021

As you may know, Jay Stroud, Director of the NEASC Commission on Independent Schools, will be retiring this summer. While I am very happy for Jay, since he so richly deserves the opportunity to spend more time with his family and enjoy his projects and pastimes, we will all miss his guidance, expertise, and leadership.

Jay has been an enormously consequential leader in independent school accreditation and a valued member of the NEASC leadership team. While Jay has served NEASC in many capacities, both on the Commission and Board of Trustees, he has had a particularly powerful impact as the NEASC Board Chair and now as the Director of NEASC-CIS, which he has so ably guided through a complete revision of its standards and accreditation procedures. On a personal level, Jay has been an invaluable strategic partner to me as we have reenvisioned NEASC as a thought partner to schools in their improvement journeys.

Please join me in wishing Jay well in his retirement.

Warm regards,
Cam Staples
President/CEO, NEASC
