As Associate Director, Bruce helps guide member schools through the NEASC Accreditation process and serves as a partner in their ongoing school improvement.

Bruce began his position at NEASC after 34 years in Connecticut as a classroom teacher in English and social studies, assistant principal, and principal. His career began at Westbrook Jr./Sr. High School followed by a transition to the CT Technical High School System. During that time, Bruce also served as chair and assistant chair of many visiting teams for the former NEASC Committee on Technical and Career Institutions (CTCI) and the NEASC Commission on International Education, and as Commissioner for both CTCI (chair 2008-09; member Board of Trustees) and the Commission on International Education. Bruce joined the NEASC staff in 2013.

Bruce believes that NEASC provides the most effective improvement model for education, providing research-based standards, a protocol for honest self-reflection, and personal relationships with each of our member schools built on mutual trust.
